The Dog Days of Summer are almost here, although it feels like it already! For a second year in a row, area businesses have joined forces to bring savings to their customers as well as help out the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society.  The warm summer months are a time when the shelter sees less donations coming in but still has the need to feed and nurture the numerous animals in their care.

From August 1-19, GMHS wish list or monetary donations can be brought to participating businesses, of which many are offering an incentive to the consumer to do so!  The following business are participating in this year’s Dog Days of Summer Promotion:  Gloucester Florist, Split Enz Salon, The Closing Shop, Safe Harbor Storage, Prost! Food Truck, Juan’s Mexican Café and Cantina, Consociate Media/Marker Nine, Brent and Becky’s, Whitley’s Peanuts, Bay School Community Art Center, Kelsick Market, Mike’s Tire and Automotive, Tower Park Real Estate, Grand Rental Station, Gloucester Mathews Gazette Journal, Riverside Wellness and Fitness Center, The Nines Pet Boutique and Phillips Energy.
